Meet Monty, the House of Cheese's fearsome guard dog!
Happy New Year from a very full Monty, post festivities.

Christmas 2000

We didn't know what to expect from our first Christmas online. Here's how we fared.

The Storage of Cheese

A contentious subject! So how should it be done? Here's some advice and opinions.
CAPTAIN SMITH'S TITANIC

Ever since reading Walter Lord's book 'A Night to Remember' I have been interested in the Titanic. I've read the books, seen the film and … eaten the cheese!
INTERESTING TIMES There is supposed to exist an old Chinese curse (though it may be nothing more than an apocryphal urban myth) which is as follows: "May you live in interesting times!"

Our first consignment arrived as promised and in wonderful condition.

A few French favourites

At the beginning of May we provided a selection of British and Continental cheeses for Arkell's brewery wine-tasting evening.

This is an annual event and it's always interesting to see what cheeses are the favourites of the night. This year, in spite of a little anti-Gallic sentiment, the honours went to four French specialities.
