About Us

Our award-winning business was established in 1982 to sell quality cheeses. We have retail and wholesale premises in the Cotswolds, Gloucestershire and our address and telephone details are clearly listed on our Contact page of this website and further down this page. If you need to speak to a human during the hours of 10am to 5pm, Tuesday to Saturday please telephone us on 01666 502865. We are always extremely busy during December and you may get our answerphone. We will call you back when we can if you leave a message. We are unable to take orders over the telephone as we have a retail shop and wholesale activities - sorry. Making A Purchase

Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our Catalogue, and click on any items that you wish to buy and put them into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on "Checkout" and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to satisfy the order. We accept credit card payment from Visa and Mastercard in addition to debit cards such as Switch/Maestro and Delta. We do not charge for any item until it is ready to send.
Delivery.

We carefully pack, insulate and label each product. In warm weather we usually use disposable ice gel packs to keep our cheeses cool.

We charge £7.95 per delivery for most mainland UK addresses (even if you order a cheeseboard of £500 we will still only charge the same.) We subsidise some of our carriage charges from our internet profits - we certainly do not make money (overall) from our carriage charges.

POSTAL SURCHARGE - SCOTTISH HIGHLANDS, SCOTTISH ISLANDS, NORTHERN IRELAND, ISLE OF MAN & ISLE OF WIGHT, AND THE FOLLOWING POSTCODES: IV1-3 / IV4-36 / IV40 / IV52-54 / PA20-49 / PA62-77 / PH17-26 / PH30-41 / PH49-50 / KW1-3 / KW5-14. - For orders over 2kg (allow 300g for packaging) there is a surcharge of £12. Your order to these postcodes will often take longer instead of next day. We do not deliver to the Channel Islands or the Isles of Scilly.

Due to the nature of our products and the high cost of overseas postage it is not currently possible for us to satisfy international orders.
Delivery Schedule

We normally deliver your order by the next day. See our terms and conditions for further details. Your order will require a signature. If you are likely to be out please enter a different delivery address e.g. work / neighbour / family member etc. Orders to remote parts of the UK mainland will take longer than one day. Nothing in life is absolutely guaranteed, especially next-day delivery. No delivery company is perfect, although Royal Mail Special Delivery and Parcelforce 24 hour have the best performance records in our experience. If your order is especially date sensitive, please bear this in mind as we cannot be responsible for late deliveries due to circumstances beyond our control. We would always advise customers to allow an extra day for delivery if your order is a special occasion such as a wedding or party.
Back Orders

If your item is not in stock we may substitute another one of similar quality. However, this is very rare as we carry a large stock. If you do not want any substitutions, simply add a note on your order to this effect. We do not record any back orders for subsequent delivery.
Tax Charges

All our foods are VAT zero rated. Non food items have the current rate of VAT. We show VAT inclusive prices.
Credit Card Security

We know of no documented cases of credit card fraud using our shopping software system over the Internet. All credit card numbers are encrypted by PROTX and therefore we don't have access to them.
Guarantee

We realise that our business needs to give a high level of service together with superb tasting products. Please advise us within 24 hours if a parcel's contents have been damaged and we will re-despatch and replace any damaged products. Sending us a digital picture of the parcel would be useful in enabling us to make a claim with the delivery company. See our terms and conditions for further details.
